What is AWS Service Catalog?
AWS Service Catalog allows organizations to create and manage catalogs of IT services that are approved for use on AWS. These IT services can include everything from virtual machine images, servers, software, and databases to complete multi-tier application architectures. AWS Service Catalog allows you to centrally manage commonly deployed IT services, and helps you achieve consistent governance and meet your compliance requirements, while enabling users to quickly deploy only the approved IT services they need.

With AWS Service Catalog you can control the use of IT services by specifying constraints, such as the AWS region in which a product can be launched or allowed IP ranges.

Networking Portfolio
Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC):
This product launches a 2-AZ multi-tier subnet VPC including all best practices as VPC S3 Endpoint, Tagging and using IPV6 addressing. You only need to indicate the VPC Cidr Range and automatically it will generate the Subnet Cidr range for you
Amazon VPC Endpoints:
This product creates VPC Endpoints like ssm, ssm-messages and secretsmanager. In order to deploy this product you must have a VPC in place.
Databases Portfolio
Aurora RDS:
This product launches Aurora MySQL or Aurora PostgreSQL in provisioned or serverless mode. It generates the admin password using SecretsManager and encrypts the EBS Volume using the KMSKey created by NCMS by default.
Monitoring Portfolio
Grafana ECS:
This product launches a ready to use Grafana on ECS Cluster for monitoring purposes. It’s backed by an Aurora RDS Serverless database and it also deploys an AWS Load Balancer.
Panther SIEM Community:
This product launches a ready to use Panther Community Stack. Panther is a SIEM solution for Security and Logging purposes.

KMS:
This product creates a KMS Key to be used to encrypt EBS, SNS Topics, etc.
WAF:
This product launches a Web Application Firewall and setup rules according to the parameters defined.

Transfer Server:
This product creates an AWS Transfer Family Server. Based on the parameters, you can deploy this in a VPC in order to control access via a Security Group or a Public one. It also configures a Serverless Identity Provider for simplifying the authentication process.
Transfer Server User:
This product creates users for a previously created Transfer Family Server. You can create as many users as needed and it supports adding SourceIP and SSHKeys. Passwords are generated using Secrets Manager.
